An Oasis For Indoor Recess!

My Project

My 2nd Grade Kiddos are NOT the biggest fans of indoor recess! As Teachers, we get it. Who wants to be stuck inside after spending your morning learning?

As we enter the winter months and temperatures fall below freezing, our classroom pivots from outdoor recess to indoor games and activities that will help students recharge and "sharpen the saw" and furthermore contribute to the development of 21st century skills.

Students will have access to activities such as the Spirograph sets (and gel pens) to spark creativity, board games that supplement content learning in fun ways and promote communication and collaboration, kinetic sand for stimulating sensory play, and headphones for students to further engage in fun enrichment programs on their devices.
