An iPad Will Provide My Students with a Voice

Help me give my students and iPad with voice activation so they can use picture supports to voice their choice.

My Project

I will use the iPad to provide my students the ability to 'voice' their choices. Throughout the day opportunities to use picture supports on the iPad and enable voice activation will provide my students a 'voice'. An IEP meeting is centered around communication, but my students who are non-verbal, have not had an opportunity to be active members. Providing visual choices (picture supports) for Goals and Objectives will allow the student's 'voice' to be heard and provide the student with an active role in their IEP meeting.

When signing their name my students typically need an entire sheet of standard-size paper.

Using the iPad and pencil they can sign that they are in attendance, agree/disagree with the plan, and/ or initial any changes, and I can shrink the signature to fit into the allotted signature sections.
