Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are enthusiastic learners who are engaged through different modalities aside from technology. I currently project learning resources using my laptop and projector. However, many times when I am projecting a text we are reading together, we come across vocabulary words that my students don't know because most of them are English language learners. I then pull out my phone and walk around the classroom to show them an image of the word.
An iPad and a pen would allow me to walk around the room with technology in hand, a device with a larger screen than my phone, to help bring unknown words to life for my students.
I would be able to display lesson slides from anywhere in the room. The iPad + pen will allow me to upgrade the technology in my classroom and increase my students' interest in the lessons.
Having an iPad will also support my lessons on days when my projector overheats and doesn't want to project my slides, since I can also use the iPad as a document reader. With your support, my students will get a better learning experience!
