As technology advances, so must the tools with which I teach. An iPad Mini is important for me to run my students' interactive lessons on Nearpod, as well as to take class attendance, communicate with parents/guardians, and upload grades. My students also need facial tissues in order to take care of their personal hygiene during class time. And lastly, my students need legal-sized paper for their assignments and assessments in our project-based learning environment.

My students are a rainbow of cultural and socioeconomic diversity in an urban environment. They are both artistically and academically motivated in their learning endeavors as they attend an arts/performing arts high school, in which they have specific majors of study in the arts. They are also college-oriented and choose rigorous preparatory coursework such as College Board-level Advanced Placement classes. I work very hard to bring them culturally responsive lessons that support their learning, prepare them for real world, and honor their identities.
