My students need an iPad Pro with a screen protector and stylus for creating and editing digital music in class. They will use the iPad Pro to create original music, record in-class performances and create professional quality recordings to share with others.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work at a Title 1 School with over 90% of students coming from families who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Opportunities to work with the newest technology are few and far between. I have made it my goal over the last few years to bring nothing but the best into my classroom so that my students have the opportunity to make music the way it was meant to be made - with fun and creativity! Technology is the future and helps our students thrive in today's society where we are driven by the latest technology. When given these opportunities, I have seen my students blossom in a way I have never seen before, and I want to continue to try and provide them with more technology to make their musical projects soar to new heights.
My Project
Since most of my students cannot afford the latest technology for personal use at home, it has become my goal to bring this technology to them in my Music Classroom. I love to see them collaborating and creating while using the latest technology! They will be able to write their own songs and record each other playing live instruments in class using programs like GarageBand directly on the iPad Pro, and will be able to add effects and mix the perfect recording. With digital music becoming such a huge market, this is definitely a great jump start for them and I hope to be able to provide them with these opportunities.
