My Students
My students are future world changers. The 24 young people in my classroom have the biggest hearts and most profound hopes. In our classroom, we are globally minded and we try to live by the understanding that even the smallest pebble can make ripples.
Located in the melting pot, my students are a mixture of different backgrounds, ethnicities and socio-economic statuses.
With such diversity, their perspective of the world is unique... and thinking in our room is vast. The user friendly iPad opens endless possibilities for our young students.
My Project
Having two iPad minis in my classroom will open up countless opportunities for research and will also provide a simple means for children to document their work.
In an effort to keep our families connected to our daily adventures, we will use the iPad to bridge the gap.
Children will be taught to photograph their work and post it for their family viewing and celebrating. Students will also use this technology to interact with a teacher, and explain their learning process. All of this documentation will confidentially be sent to parents and guardians, and will confidentially build assessment tracking for teachers.
