My Students

I'm a 6th grade teacher in a low-income area. In our classroom, we use the Ready Math program and they are really improving their discourse! My students love to work with each other. They love trying new things and are excited to learn. Science and social studies are their favorite times of the day.

They love anything hands-on.

When it comes to projects or working on whiteboards they really excel!

My Project

Being able to have an iPad and Apple Pencil in the classroom will take learning to a new level. I had the opportunity to experiment using the iPad and Pencil in my classroom a few weeks ago and immediately my mind started turning with possibilities!

Having an iPad and Pencil in the classroom would go a long way to breaking learning barriers in the classroom and at-home learning.

With the iPad and Pencil in hand, I could project my screen to my SmartBoard, draw on my screen for them to see, highlight important information, move through screens seamlessly, quickly take a snapshot of student work and have them explain it, not be tied to the front of the room or a desk and so much more. This would allow me to no longer be as limited during online learning and create a more hands-on learning experience in the classroom.
