My Students

I teach at a public elementary school that is comprised of one hundred and sixty students in kindergarten. The students are representative of a variety of cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. This is what makes our school unique and special. The majority of our students come to kindergarten with limited background knowledge and social experiences. It is critical to provide my students with a variety of experiences at school since most do not have the opportunity outside of the classroom to explore their environment. It is my job to engage them in learning through flexible seating, diverse learning strategies, and the integration of technology.

I am a teacher, challenged with providing the best educational supplies to my students due to the extreme budget cuts our school is facing.

The many students that excel through my classroom deserve opportunity to a wholesome education that meets EVERY students' needs.

My Project

I am asking and thanking for any donations to help supply an iPad for my students. This will be a great hands-on, educational opportunity that will be used on a daily basis. There are so many applications for education advancements for my students to be engaged in. Currently, our classroom has no iPads or tablets to be used. We have a school computer lab that is shared. This iPad will allow technology in the classroom at our own use all day every day, for activities such as math centers, math intervention, reading center, reading partners, reading interventions, fine motor practice, language and vocabulary skills, science and social studies activities.

Supplying this project will allow endless educational opportunities to many students in every subject area each year!

I cannot wait to see the advancements and diverse learning strategies an iPad can do for my students each year.
