My Project
My goal for this space is to provide all students with an inviting room where they can work, reset, and learn new skills. In my room we learn and practice using coping skills, friendship skills, how to appropriately ask for help, and emotion regulation.
Without these vital skills students have a much more difficult time focusing on reading, writing, and math.
The beach and ocean decor will allow students to recognize the counseling room and feel at ease there. The bean bag armchair will be utilized with a choice board for coping strategies used in the moments of sadness, frustration, etc. The green bean bag chairs will provide alternate seating so students can choose where they will be most successful as we learn.
