Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first graders are a cheerful group of wide-eyed children excited to learn! My students are composed of a variety of backgrounds and languages. This class is full of creative and eager learners.

This is why I believe it is so important to give my students the very best instruction I possibly can with a variety of resources. I want my classroom to be a safe and healthy place where my students can thrive and be their very best!

My Project

Fostering a love for reading is an important part of my job! I love seeing my students' reaction when they find a book they love to read. The classroom library is my students' favorite corner during small group rotations. Our current bookcases show signs of many years of love and use by students. It would be so nice to freshen up our corner with new bookcases!

Our current wooden bookcases are so worn down that we have to be very careful when browsing through books.

The shelves fall off easily creating an unexpected book avalanche! I would love to have an inviting space for my students to enjoy reading books.
