An Invigorating Classroom for Incredible Middle School Students
My students need notebooks, pens, and all the basic back to school necessities to be successful. Furthermore, a Cricut will help me to create a warm and invigorating classroom where students can contribute ideas as well.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I haven't met all of my students just yet, but I have met a few. As a teacher, we are expected to be in our classrooms preparing the school and our individual rooms for the upcoming year before school starts. Students, on the other hand, are expected to be out playing with friends, enjoying their last weeks of summer. These middle school students, however, have been present in the school almost every day I have been there. They are there, voluntarily, helping their teachers move furniture, clean, and ready the school for the new year. They are so proud to be a part of their school and their energy is infectious. They smile and greet everyone who walks through the doors and I cannot wait for them to be a part of our classroom.
With this being said, I want to give back to these students everything and more that they have already put into their school.
These students deserve to learn in an abundant classroom where they have access to any resource they may need and I know we can come together to make this happen for them.
My Project
Notebooks, pens, and Post-It Notes will allow students to write and get their ideas out in interactive and meaningful ways. Students will enjoy a creative and warm classroom with access to a Cricut and a Post-It / Easel where we can collaborate to create classroom norms, anchor charts, artwork and so much more.
My goal is for learning to be engaging and dynamic for all students, and each of these materials will contribute to that goal.
My students already have everything they need to succeed within them, but these resources will elevate their learning experience so much! Thank you all in advance :)
