This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will help introduce students to instruments that many of them would not normally have access to. Many families in our area are not in a position to provide instruments to students and I would like to give students this opportunity to expand their knowledge in music. The goal is to start this project by getting 2 kinds of each Nuvo instrument so students will be able to test and play new instruments with no strings attached. It will cost them nothing to be able to experience this new opportunity in school!
Being in a Title I area, many students and families do not get many chances to use and work with various instruments due to finances and other situations.
My hope is to provide this experience without any financial strain on the student and their family. Nuvo instruments also allow for easy clean and repair so that every student that comes through the music doors will be able to use them freely and safely.
With your help we will be able to provide this rare opportunity for students in the upcoming year as well as the years to come!
