This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have a classroom full of exuberant Kindergartners. They are energetic, fun-loving, and creative. Some of them dance all over the school from standing in the bathroom line to outside on the playground during recess. Others are jokesters that like to tell jokes and pull pranks on their friends. There are also some that love to write, read, act, play, and tell stories.
However, ALL of them are artists and LOVE TO CREATE ART!
They live to express themselves artistically.
My Project
My students will be able to use the easel paper to create portraits and other art masterpieces using the markers, glitter shapes, and pipe stems. Students will also be able to decorate their tote bags to keep their essentials in their lockers as well as for field trips. Students will even be able to use the dry erase markers to create art on their learning tables.
The goal is to give my students access to a larger variety of mediums they can use to create their individual masterpieces.
Hopefully, these new materials will inspire them and help their art flourish.
