An Exceptional Project for Exceptional Children

My Project

This is my first year as an EC resource teacher, and my primary goal is to close the gap between what my kindergarten and first grade students know and what they need to know, which is wider than that of their peers.

To achieve this, I need to remodel their lessons and present the basics in various engaging ways until something clicks and moves into their long-term memory.

With this in mind, I have curated some enticing and exciting items including sand trays, play dough, sand paper letters and other tools for our classroom. Thank you for considering my project and for all that you do to help close this educational gap that these students face.
