My Project
Help me give my students an engaging environment! After visiting Ron Clark Academy in Georgia, I have the drive to be the best teacher I can be. I learned so much during my short time at RCA but one of the main things I want to implement in my classroom is the Djembe Drum. The Djembe drums are for students who have a hard time paying attention during the lesson as well as staying engaged even when it’s not their turn to speak. With the drums, they are able to pay attention and play it when the teacher says something funny or even when we are counting down from 10 to finish a procedure. When the students play the drums, they stay engaged.
The LEGOs are for my students to work on building STEM skills!
Our school has a goal to be a STEM school. I would love for my students to have the opportunity to experience building critical thinking skills using LEGOs in the classroom.
