Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are honestly amazing. They are constantly working hard to achieve greatness. Most of my students, (if not all), are from a low socioeconomic background which consists of many hard working immigrant families. For most students, school is their second home. We as teachers, spend the whole day with our students and in some cases spend more time with them than their hardworking parents.
Because of COVID-19, organization and distance learning has become part of our lives this year, my students deserve all the support they can get so that they can achieve excellence.
Everyone deserves an equal opportunity to succeed in school and in life!
My Project
Many of my students come to school with external stressors that occupy a lot of the energy and mental focus needed to concentrate and do well in my class.
By creating a classroom environment that feels welcoming and comfortable, my students will feel more at home and will likely be able to improve their academic outcomes in math class.
Additionally, coming into a space that is organized and looks cohesive will increase their ability to take my class seriously and engage wholeheartedly. By donating to our project, you will help my students to feel safe and comfortable at school, increasing their ability to focus their energy and efforts on the material we are learning in class.
