Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school is a unique and diverse class that ranges from students who mainstream from the Autism class to students who are gifted. At the same time 85% of my class receives free breakfast, lunch, and supper. We are a Title I school. We are recovering socially and emotionally from the recent Pandemic, but trying to also make up for lost opportunities that Distance Learning created. In spite of everything, the student's love of learning is contagious and their effort is undeniable, but their strength and heart is amazing.
Hands on learning using STEM activities will ignite the fire for science, math, engineering, and problem solving.
We have a dedicated space that we are turning in to an Engineering Lab, but we need engaging activities to include in our design. This space will be used as an enrichment opportunity for students from ages 4-12 on a weekly basis
