This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
In my classroom I value what my students have to say. I think having an easel where they can display their learning will be beneficial to my students. It is also a way to build a positive learning experience.
My students are people that like to share what they know.
I have 31 students in my classroom that have a strong sense of self, and who are confident in themselves. The school that I teach at is in the greater St. Louis, Missouri. I feel that they deserve the best education they can receive.
My Project
My students will use the easel to display their own work to other in the classroom. They will also be able to teach using the easel as well. I also teach workshop for both writing and reading. These require me to have posters to reinforce learning. I'd like to have a place to present these while teaching my mini-lesson.
This donation will improve the sense of community in my classroom as well as help teach students that it's okay to ask questions and learn from others.
This will build a better relationship between students within my classroom.
