My Students
My students attend a public school in an urban area. They come from many different backgrounds, and each offers a unique piece to our classroom. They learn from one another every day and appreciate what makes each member of the class unique. They are excited TK students who can't wait to discover more out in the world! With support this year, they will grow to be more independent and will become more confident and excited about learning in their community.
My Project
In TK, it's all about pocket charts on an easel stand. We have charts that we flip around constantly... number charts, alphabet charts, our classroom jobs board, a white board, and more. Having an accessible easel on wheels that can easily rotate will really help our learning. Picture this, kids arrive in the morning and check the easel chart for morning activities. Twenty minutes later, I pick up the easel, and rotate its direction so that we can access our number chart on the opposite side. Before recess, we check our classroom jobs and rotate to a different chart. Having a sturdier teaching easel with wheels and storage bins will really help the back and forth! The easel is crucial for learning with young students. It allows them to access the classroom through visuals. The goal for them to access both sides of the easel seamlessly.
