My Students

My wonderful 2nd graders this year will be my 2nd class as a newbie teacher! I am so excited and eager to reach their young minds and hearts. Although I am still new to teaching, I can assure that my students will be loving, bright, and eager to learn, just as I am eager to teach.

My second grade class this year will be in great hands, as I will be sure to love, nurture, and enlighten each student individually, as well as collectively.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to be in control of their learning, making choices that will work best for them. Students will get to choose where they would like to sit during guided and independent work. This flexible seating especially allows their energetic bodies to move around as they work and learn without having to be still all day. Students can work in different locations of the classroom, whether that is at their desk with a ball, or using a clipboard and sitting on the floor, carpet, and even sometimes under the desk! When we are most comfortable, more work can be done efficiently. This brings about self motivation in my students as they take charge of their learning.
