An Ear-resistable Listening Center!

My students need this listening station so they will enhance their listening and literacy skills. These kids love being read to! This will give them a chance to listen to an engaging story every day.

My Students

I teach Preschool at a Title 1 school, which means most are economically disadvantaged students. I have 10 girls and 8 boys that are so excited to come to school every day. This is a free program offered that parents voluntarily put them into preschool at the age of 4.

Most of my students have never been away from their mothers before starting Pre-K.

I love to see their bright smiles every morning. It is such a great feeling to know that I am able to teach so many little ones and show them that learning can be lots of fun.

My Project

The listening center will accommodate up to six students at a time. They will listen to books while sitting at the listening station. I will have the different read-a-long books organized and easy for them to reach.

The listening center will be a "center" they can choose to go to every day during our center time.

They love hearing me read to them, so this listening center will be one that all of the kids will be excited about going to. Just having this in my classroom will expose them to so many more vocabulary words and increase their literacy skills.
