Our school is in Niagara Falls. Many of my students come from families who do not have a lot to give. Every day, my students come to school with smiles on their faces, excited to be in school.
The children in my classroom love learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, whole group work, small group work, and centers to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are a great group, and I am so thankful to have a group of learners that come to school every day ready to learn.
My Project
My students are learning to read. They are eager to learn and need assistance. Much of the time, I am not able to work one on one with each student, since I have a class of 19 students. I would like to give my students an opportunity to use mp3 players with our curriculum texts, and other books loaded on them.
Using audio texts on mp3 players will allow my students to practice fluency, learn words they do not know by listening and reading along, and to enjoy reading!
My students and I are eager to welcome this new technology.
