An Ear-resistable Approach to Building Math Skills and Integrating STEM
My students need more hands on activities for math to help integrate STEM and STEAM in our classroom. Students need headphones in order to listen to the videos and educational apps when using the computer.
We are a public charter school, Title I school, and the majority of our students come from low income to average families. The students receive free breakfast and lunch from school and many do not have monies to purchase their school supplies needed for school each year.
We are a community based school, and have about an 83% Native American population.
We aim to blend learning and culture in our classrooms. Students in my classroom work very hard and come to school eager to learn every day. There's nothing more motivating than to see students walk in with a big smile and positive attitude every morning
My Project
I am requesting interactive STEM activities for my classroom to incorporate STEM in our math and science curriculum and headphones for my students to use on computers.
These materials will be use by my 26 students during math and science to help integrate STEM and technology in our class curriculum.
Students also use the computers to work on educational program I have set up for free, but need headphones at times to watch and listen to the interactive tutorials on the computer.
I only have 3 students in class that have headphones purchased at home. This has been an ongoing supply on our classroom wish list since the start of school.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
