My students are a resilient bunch. In 2018, our families were hit with an erupting volcano which displaced many. The town came together to support one another and our school stayed open to provide stability and education. Then 2019 was spent recovering from this trauma only to be hit again in 2020-2021 with covid. Nonetheless, our school stayed strong and the students kept moving forward to better themselves through education.
The resources I requested will be a great addition to my classroom.
It will create a safe and flexible environment for a diverse set of learners. Having this type of physical environment will contribute to the well-being of our students. Studies have proven that students do their best learning when they feel safe, supported, and have an understanding of the science behind learning. Using hands-on models of the brain will provide another way for students to interact with the material and creating new pathways for continued learning.
