My 30 students need class sets of "Double Fudge" and "Fudge-a-Mania" by Judy Blume to complement what we are covering in our reading series.

My Students
My class recently had the opportunity to read the book "Freckle Juice" by Judy Blume. They enjoyed the story immensely and have expressed an interest in reading other books by the author Judy Blume.
My student's interest was sparked recently when we read a book by Judy Blume called "Freckle Juice".
They loved the book and when were were finished they wanted to read another one of her stories. I work in a school system with limited resources so I am writing this grant with the hope that I can get these two titles by Judy Blume to keep the kids interested and engaged in reading books that are grade appropriate and have positive messages.
My Project
I was surprised to see how much interest that "Freckle Juice" created with my class. I want the opportunity to keep that level of interest flowing. I want the kids to appreciate that I am interested in their likes and dislikes and I want them to see that there are always opportunities to go after what you want if you are willing to take the time to try. They sat with me and we wrote this grant as a group in the hopes that someone would appreciate that we want to keep reading and enjoying books by Judy Blume.
In our reading series we study different authors.
Judy Blume is one of many. She writes stories that the kids can relate too. The books about Fudge are about life with a younger sibling which all my students can relate to. We would also like to read "Double Fudge" and "Fudge-a-mania". As part of our preparation for the Connecticut Mastery tests we are working on text connections and these books will allow for plenty of opportunities in writing to include these connections.
