Help me give my students a MacBook Pro to provide them with an engaging and meaningful curriculum and to help them embark on the journey of being life-long learners.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are a public, inner-city, arts alternative, elementary school that receives Title I funds and 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite many of the hardships they face, my students walk into the library every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.
The arts (music, dance, drama, and visual arts) are infused into our curriculum and we encourage our students to express themselves through the arts.
My Project
The MacBook will provide my students with accurate, instant feedback. The MacBook will allow me to create Google Docs, Google Slides, and PDFs for my students to facilitate their learning process. It will also allow me the opportunity to utilize a device other than my personal laptop which is overheating due to the load on it with teaching 14 classrooms. My students need efficient feedback on their virtual learning, and the MacBook will help make this possible.
I will be able to interact with my students throughout this pandemic as if we are still in class.
The MacBook will provide an engaging and meaningful curriculum for my students. At the same time, the MacBook will allow me to be able to keep up with all my students' needs. The MacBook will be able to open several platforms so that I can monitor all my students live during their lessons. The MacBook will be transferred to the classroom to continue to enhance my students' education after the pandemic.
