Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Just as in most schools post pandemic; we have technology. We have effectively leveraged the technological resources within our school over the past three years; however much of our resources seem disjointed. I serve an extremely bright group of scholars within our Talented and Gifted program. They are innovators and creators who lack all of the necessary tools.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of education, the integration of technology has become indispensable in fostering student engagement, creativity, and academic success.

As an educator, I am requesting funding for a MacBook Air laptop, which will serve as powerful tools to enrich their learning experiences.

With the MacBook Pro at their fingertips, students can delve into immersive learning experiences, from conducting scientific experiments in virtual laboratories to exploring historical events through interactive timelines. Our quarterly demonstrations of learning will be amplified through the use of Apple products and software. I am an Apple Educator and look forward to fulling being able to leverage the Apple curriculum and tools.

We are hoping to utilize this new device in conjunction with our small group set of iPads. Our current Dynabook chromebook is unable to convert documents, air drop or provide the seamless integration of all of our tools.

With this newest tool we are hoping to dive deeper into the world of STEAM, graphic design and CTE.
