This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from diverse backgrounds and immerse themselves daily in the cultures of their peers through learning two languages (English and Spanish).
Our students strive for academic excellence in both languages in all academic subjects which makes them very unique.
Each child brings something special to the classroom through their experiences and areas of expertise. They make our school an exceptional place to be through their determination to be successful academically while embracing the many cultures that come together within our walls.
My Project
Students will be able to use the iPad to take photos of their work and quickly display it through the Apple TV in an instant. The Apple Pen will also allow students to annotate their work or others' work in the moment and show the entire class their thought process.
Additionally, students will be able to use various apps on the iPad to help with math, writing, Spanish, and reading.
As we gear up for a new year of learning in a hybrid model, our students need access to up to date technology which can allow for continued shared work and quick annotation in the moment. We have a few older iPads but several new programs on apps have become less and less easily used due to outdated tech. This new iPad will be able to be used by students in the moment during our varied lessons since they won't be able to walk around the classroom. Additionally, with the cases, the iPad can be easily sanitized between students. When students have work to share they an easily airplay their work from the iPad to the Apple TV to be displayed through our projector. Not only that, but for students who opt to only learn virtually, they will also be able to see in class student work instantly thus allowing them to feel like they are with us in person. The iPad will also create more opportunities to film lessons and student videos to make learning more engaging. Lastly, some students will also be able to use the iPad to create more interactive notes which will help them towards individual education plan goals as well as help them feel more successful within the classroom.
