My students are very hard working individuals that have developed a love for PBL. They come from very diverse, socioeconomic populations and each and every one of them loves to learn science in fun and exciting ways. The more engaged they are in their learning the more they learn the subject matter. We also have a large population of students whose exposure to outside resources are limited. Our school wants to connect our children with high quality projects and develop great team work. Today's children are learning all different levels today and engaging them with high quality projects will allow all students to be successful.
Project based education is an exciting initiative going on in my classroom and I want my students to be able to create fabulous high quality projects.
I am looking for a Macbook computer and for my classroom. The laptop would allow my students to present their projects to their classmates . It would also allow me to present lessons without having to bring my own laptop from home.
Our budget has resulted in teachers becoming extremely creative in their classrooms with very limited supplies. Please help out my students.
My Project
The Apple MacBook I am requesting will benefit every child in my classroom. As a project based class, each and every student in my class will be presenting materials to myself and their classmates often throughout the school year. I presently have a projector and I often use my personal computer for presentations and lessons. My students will be working in groups designing their projects and also working on other materials as well. This laptop will allow them to share their findings and discoveries from anywhere in the room.
The Apple MacBook will be available for all students in my classroom.
Project based learning provides every student with the ability to collaborate with their peers and work on projects that address every day issues in the science community. Project based learning also has students create a public product for their project, the MacBook would allow the students to develop presentations they can present to their peers or anyone in the community. This can also be used for research at any given time as well.
