Help me give my students a classroom iPad which will have significant impact on my classroom by giving the students easier access to digital materials and aid in small group instruction.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
An Apple iPad would be a crucial tool for distance learning and in-school teaching. As a teacher of students with disabilities, I teach live using Zoom along with recording many lessons, instructional videos, and read-alouds. Using an iPad streamlines that process with compatible tools, making video production and connection with my students more seamless.
My students can also use this iPad allowing them to interact with the technology.
This iPad will have a significant impact on my classroom by giving the students easier access to materials.
In addition to the struggles we face from COVID-19, we have faced cyber attacks. Our current technology won't hold virtual meetings and instruction without complications. An iPad would ensure no viruses and high productivity.
This iPad will also allow me to have a tool I can use as we transition from physical school to virtual teaching. Having an Apple iPad will also facilitate the uploads of the many pictures I take with my Apple iPad and allow me to send them easily to parents.
I will also be able to air play all my instructional material to our smart boards in class. This technological component allows the user to project materials contained on their Apple iPad to a smart board or other devices. We will use this as we dissect writing samples throughout the year as well as when we are looking at concepts not fully understood in the classroom.
