My Students

Our rural, remote, Title I school is very unique. We have students from different backgrounds, cultures, religions, and races. Some students are learning English for the very first time. Some students are very talented when it comes to learning, some require special education, and some students are working their hardest to give their best. Each morning, students greet us and each other with high-fives and hugs. We are truly blessed by the relationships that are built within our tiny community. Our students are the builders of tomorrow: the teachers, scientists, farmers, mothers, fathers, doctors, engineers, dreamers, and doers.

Seeing students engaged and deeply involved in their own education is a great joy to me.

I strive to provide hands-on learning experiences in a safe environment, where students are free to explore, make real-world connections, and see their knowledge grow and expand! Knowing that failing is a step towards success relieves our students from being fearful to try, and great things happen because of their growth mindset!

My Project

Please help us obtain a Macbook Air and Magic Mouse for use in and out of the classroom. Now more than ever, I need to be able to access the latest technology for my students. As the confusion and uncertainty surrounds us, being able to directly communicate with my students from home or school is of the utmost important. I worry so much about them, and having this laptop available at all times to access online platforms for my students to ask question or just visit, will aid in easing the transition from classroom to online learning.

As life returns to normal, having this tool in our classroom will be extremely beneficial, allowing me to teach my students to use such features as iMotion, iMovie, Apple Podcast and more.

This would give students greater freedom to collaborate and share their learning in our Project Based Learning classroom and would bring forth a diverse learning environment and differentiated learning to our classroom.
