Help me give my students a well deserved Distance Learning experience by providing their teacher with a Macbook Air, mouse, and Airpods so that she can schedule daily Zoom Meetings and Google Classroom with her students.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager learners and are always ready to learn although they come from a low income families where their parents are struggling to put food on the table. As tired as my parents are when they come home from work, they make sure that their children had a great day of learning.
Covid-19 Pandemic and Distance Learning have challenged our society unexpectedly as teachers are having to teach remotely and in many different digital platforms as students and their families struggle to deal with this new learning.
My students lack devices and internet connection at home to ensure continued Remote Learning and education has come to a halt as they await devices from the district.
My Project
My students have been working very hard all year getting ready for Kindergarten. Everyday when they are at school, they thrive to do their very best in learning everything their teacher teaches them. They know that when they go home, their parents might not have the time or might not be able to help them with their work.
Covid-19 Pandemic and Distance Learning will not stop me from giving my students the best education they deserve.
The Macbook Air, mouse, and the Airpods will serve as essential devices that will fulfill the digital platform of my teaching strategies.
These devices will allow me to have zoom meetings, google classroom, upload work/assessments and to keep track of their progress. Without these working devices, I would have to resource to text message or phone call which will not be enough to provide the best education that they need to be prepared for Kindergarten. The devices will also be use to communicate with my parents to ensure that they have all the help they need to make sure their child is continuing to learn.
