My Project

Our school is a unique elementary and middle school in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. We serve one of the most diverse areas in the city - and our small school has English Learners who speak over 30 different languages, many of whom are also refugees who just came to our city! In addition, half of our student population receives special education services. Our amazing and unique students are not the only special pieces that make up our school -- our unique space sprawls over two city blocks, with our middle school being a few streets away from our main elementary building.

MS serves some of the best and brightest but could use a little help with bridging equity gaps that exist, specifically with access to technology.

The primary goal of this project is to bridge technology access gaps and cultivate an inclusive learning environment. The MacBook Pro, with its advanced features, will support our students at our STEAM school. The laptop's additional ports will facilitate seamless connections with devices such as presentation clickers and mice and our brand new SMART Boards, thereby enhancing the overall experience in the STEAM and during Teacher Professional Development.

In today's digital age, providing equal access to technology is not just a matter of convenience but a crucial step toward inclusive education. Your support for this project will contribute significantly to creating a dynamic and enriching learning environment at our school. Together, we can ensure that every student, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive and develop the essential skills needed for a successful future.
