An Apple a Day Keeps Virtual Learning Under Way!

My Students

During these unprecedented times, we teachers were ill-prepared for the drastic change in learning. The many challenges we faced were overwhelming, but we managed to make it through the rest of the school year. Though our school year is over, we must prepare for a more seamless journey of virtual learning to come!

When my students and I engaged in virtual learning, we were actively working in all sorts of learning platforms.

We met four times a week through Zoom meetings to go over new material, and to check in with each other. In addition, I am recording lessons at home for them to view and continue to learn new material. I can imagine our school year will start the same.

My Project

This pandemic proved to be just the monkey wrench to interrupt the engagement and learning of my students. However, I must ensure that my students receive the information needed to be successful. Now that my living room is my classroom, it is very important that I have a reliable resource to help them grasp the concepts through virtual learning.

An Apple iPad will help me elevate my virtual teachings.

I'm Zooming with my students to teach them live so I can model movements and phrases. However, some students learn better when I'm providing instructional video recordings that they can refer back to and study. I also provide edited music specific for each assignment.
