This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are part of a very small charter school with limited resources. A lot of what we use daily was bought by me. This is my second year teaching, and I am very blessed to have a full class of students this year. They will be coming to me from a very different end of the year situation so I’m excited to see how well they do! My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges. They especially love technology and getting new educational sites to benefit their knowledge. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

My Project

Please help my students get the best educational experience with these iPad’s they can use in centers (COVID safe, as they will be disinfected after each use). My students are very technologically driven and with them not having been in school for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year, these iPads will allow them to use educational websites to review their letters, numbers, practice sight words, adding and subtracting and so much more! My hope is that within the first few weeks of school, I can get my students to a point where they are ready to start learning 1st grade material and succeed at it! These will also help them practice on iReady, which is a diagnostic test with different lessons that they will complete each week!
