Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to school every day with a smile on their face and ready to learn, despite the many challenges they face. What I respect most about them is their positive attitude and willingness to do their best. They are inquisitive and love to explore to feed their thirst for learning. They are told every day how amazing they are and how proud I am.

I teach in a Title I school where the population is mostly high/poverty/ low-income with students from all walks of life.

They want to come to a school where they know they are loved, safe and have consistency in their lives-- this is their home. I am an advocate for them each and every day. Every child deserves the best opportunity to be the best they can be.

My Project

The students will receive the technology resources that are not currently available. The iPads will allow for students to extend their learning throughout the school day. They will use them in literacy stations, math stations and allow for extensions with science and social studies. They can use the iPads to write and publish stories, improve their fluency skills and interactive math games for number sense.

What a difference they will make!

I will use them in small group instruction and be able to differentiate according to each student needs. The iPads will support student's literacy foundational skills to prepare them for first grade. Most of all my students will gain technology skills and make learning fun.
