Help me give my students much-needed P.E. equipment so they can gain confidence and learn a range of physical activities.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are creative, take initiative in their own learning, and curious about the world! They love hands-on, engaging projects that challenge them to think outside of the box in not only their solutions, but the way they communicate the information that they just explored. They are enthusiastic learners and are full of questions.
Many students in my classroom have no access to technology at home, and our school provides them with opportunities to gain these vital 21st-century skills.
Our school is set in urban Los Angeles. Many students speak two or more languages and are the children of immigrant parents. They have a strong work ethic and work diligently to make their future a success.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning. The third-grade team at my school incorporates a variety of learning styles, differentiated lesson planning, and alternative seating and learning opportunities to ensure that each student's needs are met. We also use computational thinking strategies in our lessons to get them to think. They are an amazing group of kids, and I can't wait to help them grow as citizens of the world. They are our future!
My Project
The students in my class were first graders when they left school to quarantine. Now, they are third graders. After being stuck in the house for such a long time, my students are lacking in basic skills like catching or kicking a ball and jump roping. Physical activity was not something they practiced during quarantine.
The donations to this project will help my students embrace a lifestyle of health and fitness.
My students need to learn skills that can only be taught through P.E. They need balls to learn how to catch, kick and throw. They need hula hoops and jump ropes to work on their coordination and to get their hearts racing. Donating to my project will provide my students with a love of the game, teach teamwork, and improve their health.
