This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to use art making to teach my students to believe in their inner strength and abilities. In this project, we will be designing wearable Amulets made with clay, wire, jewelry findings, and beads. They will learn the basics of jewelry making, as well as design principles to create their Amulet with clay, wire, and beads.

My students do not always feel that they have a voice that is heard, and they deserve to have a space that will allow them to create artwork that explores their strengths, abilities, and creativity.
