This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Due to extra challenges associated with living in a very low-income area and learning loss from the pandemic, more than half of my students are reading below grade level. One tool we have to combat this is an interactive online reading tutorial. This program requires a microphone and the hardware we have right now is insufficient. Funding this project will provide us with enough quality materials for every student to use the program the way it is designed to be used - without the added challenge of ineffective or insufficient hardware.
