This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is made up of over 75% English Language Learners and offers many Special Education Classes such as Special Day Classes, PALS, and Autism Classes. Our school has Extended Transitional Kindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First through Fifth Grade.
Our students are welcoming to our guests, always greeting them with a "Good Morning!" We have students with learning disabilities and challenges at home, however they come to school with the mentality that nothing can stop them from reaching their goals.
My Project
These wonderful headphones will allow our students to take part in a wonderful new program that will help them fortify their Language Arts skills. Our new online program requires headphones so that each student can take part in phonological awareness exercises, phonics excercises, and comprehension. Without the headphones the program doesn't work properly; causing for some student to be unable to access the program and others finding difficulty in focusing on the program because of all the devices sounding at the same time.
Our school and most importantly our students will be able to move towards the 21st Century vision of what education should be like thanks to accessing the program with ease and complete focus because of these much needed headphones.
