Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our K–5 elementary school is launching a House System to build leadership, connection, and school pride. I am honored to be part of Amistad, the Red House, which represents friendship. Our House includes approximately 60 students across multiple grade levels.

To kick off our very first Amistad meeting, I want to create a meaningful experience that helps students connect immediately.

We plan to make friendship bracelets, decorate and preserve student photos, enjoy a small snack together, and wear matching Amistad hats to build pride and unity.

This project will help foster a sense of belonging from the very beginning and make our House feel like family.
