This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am reaching out to express a critical need for resources in our classroom, particularly books that delve into the rich tapestry of American symbols. As an educator, I am passionate about fostering a well-rounded education for my students, and having access to comprehensive literature on American symbols is crucial for their academic development.

Introducing books about American symbols to our classroom library would significantly benefit my students in various ways.

Not only would it align with curriculum requirements, but it would also empower students to engage in independent research and gather information about these important national symbols. By providing them with these resources, we aim to cultivate essential research skills, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the historical and cultural significance of American symbols. These books would serve as invaluable tools for expanding their knowledge base, promoting curiosity, and instilling a sense of pride in their heritage.
