My Students

I have an energetic group of THIRTY fourth grade students that are eager learners with a variety of needs. We are on the verge of being a Title I school, and due to that, we have more needs than we have resources.

We are a free breakfast and lunch school in a very diverse city.

Travel and outside experiences are very limited due to distance so we have to explore the world around us through the use of technology and books.

My Project

These Kindles will help provide student access to a digital library of high interest books and allow students to access on-line learning resources. A. P. S. has a digital library, but there is limited technology available for this.

These Kindles will help students access on-line reading and math programs to help increase student proficiency.

We only have 4 desktop computers and 3 i-pads for a class of 30 students. These are also old and outdated - often not working reliably. The Amazon Kindles are current technology that students are familiar with using.

Our world is ever changing and the use of technology is at the forefront.
