This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love creating art. Art is calming, thoughtful, and a creative outlet for many feelings and ideas. Many of my students are able to create and express themselves through art. My students look forward to art time and special projects; however, we only have access to basic art supplies.
I want my students to have the supplies needed for their social studies explorers unit project.
Students create an explorer using a water bottle and we use different types of materials to bring it to life. We use the glue gun so that everything is sturdy. The poster boards are used to create a display of their research. Also, we need a voice amplifier so that students can easily stay on task following clear and loud directions during art time.
