it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have the most energetic third graders this year.
My class is composed of ten students with disabilities.
My students have made great strides in the school year. My students are of African-American and Hispanic descent with 99% of them receiving free or reduced-price school meals. I tell my students, "You can make a difference."
My students are very hard workers, and regardless of their surroundings in their neighborhood, my students come to a class dedicated to working. They know that once they step in the classroom they are ready to work and learn new content. I love it when I see my students learn and apply what they have learned in the class and use it in their real life. My students are bright and enthusiastic students ready to learn. My class is located in a low-income area. A large percentage of the student population qualifies for free lunch. My students are not provided with opportunities to experience new things. My students are bright and very dedicated students. My students need real-life experiences in order to make real-life connections.
My Project
Yay! This is Part 4 of my dream project! My goal for this project is to obtain enough tables and flexible seating for all my students to provide a safe and equitable environment. With amazing donors like yourself, my classroom has been blessed with 12 new desks for my students. I serve a community of the working poor. This means that although many of our parents work more than one job, most are still on some form of public assistance and have needs. Currently, we are in need of classroom desks.
My students each need a sturdy, reliable desk at school - one that they can do their assignments on.
Being able to do assignments on a sturdy, reliable desk at school is a basic necessity. Students should not have to worry about whether too much erasing will or will not wobble the desk until the legs come loose. I will be able to complete my dream project which will benefit all my students, classroom, and school community. These 3 desks will be used in the classroom for this school year and will serve my new classrooms. My goal is to provide my students stand up desks because these standing desks will improve attention, on-task behavior, alertness, and classroom engagement. Thank you so much for taking your time to read and care about my students' needs.
