This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have very creative students who want to show off their work on a whiteboard or poster paper but don't have the supplies needed in the classroom to do what they want to show and be posted on the wall. The supplies requested will be used throughout the year including Saturday school when needed. They like doing this type of thing especially if everything is provided for them. They get excited when we use art supplies. So this type of activity will motivate them to do their work so they can participate in it. Some students don't do their homework or even classwork but every time we use the whiteboards, I get to see them excited about doing some of the problems. So I know it motivates them to try the problems.

My classroom is full of students with different levels, from being in the ESL program to being in the SAS programs.

They are very energetic, want to move around and likes to draw. We would like to do more of a mini poster or projects to culminate a unit lesson so we need supplies. They like to be creative by showing their work on colored paper or even white printing paper using colored markers.

This will really motivate most of my students to do their work if they are provided with the supplies needed to do a colorful, artistic way of showing off their skills. We use colored paper, markers, and poster papers to do unit project or mini posters. We use glue sticks to cut out and glue information to make their project stand out. We also use individual whiteboards to get the students motivated to do math problems and to check for understanding but we need dry erase markers to be able to use it more often.
