This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

An early childhood classroom should have a sensory table for the students to play, learn and explore. Currently my classroom does not have a sensory table and my wish is to nature my students' curiosity in math, reading, science and social studies by support sensory play during centers.

My plan is to use the sensory table with different themes each month.

I believe that my students' brain development will be support by the sensory play. I recently, learn that by age 5 a child's brain is 90 % develop for this reason I would love to get a sensory table.

There are several benefits of sensory play such as encourage problem solving, provide sensory input, better retention, language development, regulate emotions and behavior. I know my students would get benefit by sensory play and I want to promote as much as possible in my classroom this school year.
