My Students
My students are eager, excited, and love to explore. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Our school is nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, in East New York City.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year.
My Project
My class needs an amazing science center to learn and focus in class. The river water fish tank will look great and it will draw students’ attention. These items will give the students more choices when they go to the science center to explore. I can give them chores to help care for these plants and animals. I can’t wait to see the students faces when they are viewing the amazing fish tank and plants under the plant light. It is important to see animals grow and change in their environments. When I was growing up, I loved seeing a lot of plants and animals around me. Currently, school field trips are cancelled due the pandemic, so I would like to bring parts of nature into the classroom to support their imaginations.
