Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love my students so I want to make a difference in their lives. When a student comes through my door, they become one of my kids. I want to push them to their full potential and watch them succeed. I grew up in the neighborhood where I now teach. I want to be that role model for them. My students come from the inner city and are economically disadvantaged however, I teach them to have that grit and follow their dreams with endless possibilities.
What makes my classroom so special is they get to take journeys to different places, meet heroes and historical people, and gain so much knowledge through literature.
Initially, reading is usually their last choice as a favorite subject. However, by the end of the semester, the students have a change of heart and fall in love with reading. I always tell my students that “Readers are leaders and reading is the foundation of academic success.”
My Project
These remote learning technology tools are needed to deliver amazing lessons. The ring light will help with the live lesson because sometimes the lighting is not right and all they see is dark shadow. The mini projector, screen, and microphone will put my lesson alive. So if I am teaching greater and less than number I can project the activity on the screen with me role playing baby shark song eating the correct number.
To capitivate todays scholars one has to be very creative in the delivery to attain their attention so they can master the objective.
I am currently teaching from home due to the pandemic so right now our learning is taking place at home.
We are already behind due to the pandemic so we urgently need to work on skills, concepts, and objectives to catch up for loss of time. Therefore, these tools will help me deliver instruction like if we were in school.
