Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school. My students face challenges every day, in and out of the classroom. It is my job to make sure my students have the necessary materials to develop a lifelong love of learning in a safe and engaging classroom where they can feel successful.
Despite the 95% of students who are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch and the hardships my students face on a daily basis, they are creative, full of energy, and eager to learn every day.
My Project
My studnets need some new books for our classroom. During our reading time it is hard to keep my students engaged in reading as our reading libray is a little out dated. I would love to have some new books for them to read. My students desreve access to highly engaging books to keep them motivated to read.
Reading is the key to sucess.
I want to help instill a love of reading in my third grade students. Having access to new more engaging books will help them become sucessful readers. Thank you so much for your continued support of my studnets and I.
